Dimensions Newsletter - February 2005

It is mid winter and the time of year that I like to spend time in my studio working on ideas that I gathered throughout the summer and never got around to doing.  I thought I would share with you my light solution.  My room is small and I wanted as close to natural daylight as possible.  I looked at a lot of expensive daylight lamps but noticed on a trip to Home Depot with my husband that standard sized full spectrum fluorescent type tubes were available and they fit in an inexpensive fluorescent fixture.  I had my husband mount the fixture and leave off the cover since that would distort the light.  This lights my whole studio and cost about half of what a full spectrum floor lamp would have cost.

Now on to business.  Will this be our last newsletter? I have support people to fold and mail the newsletter but still don’t have an editor.  This job takes a few hours of your time each month and we only have 10 newsletters a year.

I would like to thank those of you who signed up for committees already.  I still need some members to fill assorted jobs.  If you have not signed up for a committee please call or e-mail me and let me know how you can help.
