Dimensions Newsletter - February 2006
Mission Statement: Visual artists and
supporters encouraging and promoting the arts in the community.
COLLAGE by Pat Nix
If every month goes as quickly as January,
I will soon be saying Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. January has flown
by in a whirl of phone calls, lots of papers to sort and arrange, so much
to learn, so many meetings, and happily, a lot of good help. Viva Jones has
sent letters to school art teachers so students can prepare entries for the
Student Show in April. Members who would like to help setting up this show
should contact Viva right away.
Judy Stevens bravely tackled the supply
cabinets in St. Luke’s basement and they are now clean and organized. Gail
St. Peter is updating the member name tags and will have them ready for the
February meeting. Connie Alexander is now assisting Linda Stadtmiller with
the newsletter. Coffee Miklos is doing publicity and assisting Jim Yount
with the Calendar of Events and the website. Jane Leonard is busy
organizing the Sequim Arts History files. Gloria Magner is preparing for
this year’s student scholarship. Beth Taylor is working on the Clallam
County Fair. Carol Eichler is completing work on the juried show.
Forest and Ann Faulkner have agreed to
chair our June potluck. Barbara Hutter will be in charge of the July
picnic. We still need chair persons for the Members' Art Show in October
and also for the Holiday luncheon in December.
Don’t forget to pay your dues at or before
the February meeting so you can be listed in the membership booklet this
year.
Keep busy painting, sculpting and
assembling your art. We want YOU in the Sequim Arts 30th Juried
Show. The deadline is March 13, less than a month away!
