Mission Statement: Visual artists and supporters encouraging and promoting the arts in the community.

COLLAGE BY Pat Nix

What a great summer this has been.  Our second annual July picnic at Sunny Shores was well attended.  Barbara Hutter and crew had everything well planned and the salads and deserts brought by members were delicious.  If you didn’t go to this, put it on your calendar for next year.

The ART BARN at the Clallam County Fair had a really nice exhibit this year and 16 of the awards were won by 13 Sequim Arts members.  Mary Franchini carried off BEST IN SHOW, BEST IN DIVISION, and 1st in PROFESSIONAL Oil and Acrylic!  With her painting, “Pear Rose.”  Way to go, Mary. You make us proud!  Betty Tabain won twice in the NON-PROFESSIONAL category.  She had 1st in pastel for “Fields of Gold” and 3rd in Pastel for “Golden Silence.”  Congratulations, Betty.  Other PROFESSIONAL winners were Monika Livingstone, 2nd in Oil and Acrylic; Donna Standerwick, 2nd in Watercolor; Hideko Goecker, 3rd in Watercolor; Donna Cloud, 3rd in Pastel; Karin Anderson, 2nd in Mixed Media; Grace Lee Korbel, 3rd in Mixed Media.
