Artist Statement:
I have always had my fingers in paint. I studied graphic arts at UCLA, and spent a couple of years doing layout and paste-up for small ad agency in Los Angeles. This was followed by 15 years in ceramics, both as an instructor and as owner of my own studio/gift shop.
I have done photography, jewelry design, stained glass work, and illustration (both book and magazine). Now I work in a variety of 2-dimensional media, participating in local shows, competitions and exhibits. I have been selling online since 1998.
I thrive on learning new artistic techniques, and exploring new subjects. I use what I have learned to recognize what I see, isolate the important elements, and attempt to present it in such a way that others may see them, too.
Art is all around us. Nature is the basis, while imagination provides the interpretation.
I am honored to be able to share my interpretation with you. |
